Inside Selfridges: My April 2025 Shopping Edit

Kicking It Off With Footwear 👟

Daring Styles: Chloe, Balenciaga, Jimmy Choo

The Chloe wedges in the first slide took me off guard- this is an out there move for the brand. The nostalgic carved scribbles give major high school throwbacks. They also come in a jelly upper style which looks slightly more questionable, but are definitely a conversation starter.

Similarly I spotted jelly mesh flats by Ancient Greek in a variety of colours. These are a hit or miss product but will definitely attract some hype whether good or bad is still to be decided.

Now I'm usually not one for bright colours, but Veja's blue and yellow trainers in slide 3 might just change that. They’d add the perfect playful pop to my day-to-day looks without feeling over the top. As for Givenchy’s Marshmallow sandals in black—they feel like a go-to holiday pick. I’m tempted, though I do wonder how comfy they really are after a full day out?

One pair I can’t stop thinking about? The Balenciaga Combat Strike boots. The distressed details are done so cleverly—they really stood out to me. And of course, I had a moment when I saw the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami multicolour trainers. Iconic.

Scroll down to see how I’d style the LV x Murakami kicks—I already have a few outfits in mind 🌸🍒👟

2nd Stop Womens Handbags

Beach Bag Ready 🏄‍♀️🐚

YSL’s tote bag may well be the beach bag of the year, thanks to its durable straps and spacious interior—ideal for carrying all the summer essentials 🌊. For something a little more unconventional, Prada’s Slinky Arqué bag strikes a compelling balance between playful design and everyday practicality. I’d be curious to put that theory to the test in real life.

It was also refreshing to see a return to colour for Spring/Summer, particularly in bags and scarves. Personally, orange is my go-to happy colour, so the Dior, Gucci, and Bottega trio featured in slide 3 instantly resonated with me.

However, the Givenchy Beige Voyou bag in slide 4 might just be the standout piece of the season. With its timeless design and refined buckles that nod to '90s minimalism, it’s a bag you’ll likely be reaching for year after year—just as the Givenchy product page suggests.

Final Stop Mens

Breezy Mens Summer Fits 🪂🌬️

Dior and Louis Vuitton have always been standout names for me when it comes to menswear—especially Dior, which consistently nails Spring/Summer vibes. This season, they’ve dropped dreamy sets in their signature monogram, now reimagined in a cool blue silk-like fabric that feels as luxurious as it looks. Light, breezy, and effortlessly stylish ☁️.

As for new discoveries, a few fresh names popped onto my radar: Che, Patagonia, and Duke + Dexter. Each brings a unique twist to the menswear scene—definitely brands I’ll be keeping an eye on.
